Maternal Health Writing Contest
The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, in partnership with Helium, is sponsoring a writing contest on Global Maternal Health. The winning essays will be showcased on the Pulitzer Center’s website and on Helium. Winning writers will also receive a Pulitzer Center Global Issues/Citizen Voice Award.
The deadline for the Global Maternal Health Writing Contest is Thursday, June 24. The Pulitzer Center Global Issues/Citizen Voices Award in this contest will be announced on Wednesday July 7.
The article must answer the following question:
Hundreds of thousands of women die each year due to complications related to pregnancy and childbirth. What are first steps to making a difference?
